Leading Change – John Kotter

I have been involved in change initiatives now for many years, yet have not applied a strict model, only principles to guide next steps.  In retrospect, I realize that I have been recommending and loosely using Kotter’s steps anyway.  I’m curious what concepts and theories others (practitioners and internals) in the Change Management field use and, specifically, if they have used Kotter’s material and process.  It’s been around long enough to sound old, yet like a lot of foundational ideas, is so robust it is hard to think of doing anything different.  Here is his site if you are interested:
